Ingram: A Novel
Louis C.K.
Ingram is nine years old when he's forced to leave his home, if you could even call it that. He grew up on a dying farm, with no crops, malnourished animals, and unpaid debt that caused his father to skip town without any warning. A short while later, his mother sends him out on his own, traversing the country side without a pair of shoes to wear. He's uneducated, can't read or write, and has very little concept of the world at large. The story is so laser-focused from Ingram's perspective, that it's an unraveling mystery of when this story takes place. By the last page, I was left wanting more, but also, a part of me was relieved it was over.

Gina Gershon
In 1996, Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly received an MTV Movie Award nomination for their kiss in Bound. They lost to Natasha Henstridge and Anthony Guidera in Species, a decision that has aged about as gracefully as most of the decade’s bad judgment. I like to think of AlphaPussy as Gershon’s long-overdue comeback tour: part memoir, part victory lap, and entirely on her own terms.

H.P. Lovecraft
A brilliant Beginning. Scattered accounts of people across the world dreaming the same impossible dream. Reading it feels like assembling evidence you already regret finding. Then R’lyeh rises, Cthulhu appears, and somebody hits him with a boat.

CBS
Too much time spent on the pickleball veto competition, not enough time on the tea party drama. The formula of focusing heavily on competitions versus the social aspect of the game is lacking.

Handsome Podcast
Martha Kelly (Euphoria's drug lord) asks that gals if they were to be kidnapped and brought to a deserted island, which chipmunk would they want as company. A debate ensues over the benefits of choosing Alvin, Simon, and Theodore. My answer? Alvin, of course. And he best bring his hula hoop.

A tick bit old to be a Hilary Duff stan, but I always did appreciate the bra episode of Lizzie McGuire.
