I had a red pepper in my hand, threw it one of those fragile bags, and made my way to the self-checkout machine. Surely there'd be one of those four or five digit numerical codes on there for me to plugin. Wrong. I tapped the look up by product screen. The only pepper I could find was of the jalapeno variety. What's a man to do? I could have tapped the help button and waited for assistance, instead I purchased a jalapeno pepper hoping that it cost less than the red pepper. Is it stealing? Am I going to grocery store jail? All I wanted was a red pepper.
